There are over 7.5 billion people in the world yet virtually every one of us share one simple primitive idea: We all aspire to achieve results. We know results require behavior, nevertheless we have decades worth of books and initiatives made specifically for the safety professional without many options for behavioral research based advice.
The safety related miscues our people make at work are highly synonymous with our personal struggles at home. Faced with hundreds of decision points throughout the day and without much time for rationale we are similarly tasked with acting in the face of the countless obstacles opposing the actions most beneficial to our long-term success in safety and beyond.
In this workshop, Richard and Lisa will explore some of the most common behavioral pitfalls responsible for keeping us from achieving results. We will discuss how to manage the distractions associated with life in today’s ever-changing environmental landscape. Participants will actively participate while being challenged to consider the difference between an aspiration for success and an environment where success is likely to occur.
Dr. Richard Kazbour
Dr. Richard Kazbour is passionate about coaching leaders. He is an expert in behavioral science with experience consulting in industries including food service, healthcare, manufacturing, and education. Richard has delivered keynote presentations worldwide and taught organizational courses at Western Michigan University. When he’s not functioning as a Director of Harkera he spends his spare time with his wife and 2 daughters, or twirling pizza dough at one of his Central Florida pizzerias.
Lisa Kazbour, MA
Lisa Kazbour is an award-winning teacher, all-around behavioral science geek, coach, and Director of Harkera. She enjoys teaching leaders around the world the science behind why we do what we do and coaching them to improved results. In her free time Lisa enjoys photography, traveling, reading, and pretending to do yoga.
