Human Performance Technology (HPT) has emerged in recent years as a methodology in the field of behavioral safety. Dr. Binder presents an overview of a current-day HPT methodology known as Six Boxes Performance Thinking®,designed with simple visual models and plain English terminology to facilitate adoption and communication by people in all functions and at all levels in an organization. His presentation sets the context for a more in-depth presentation about application of the Performance Thinking®methodology at a major biotechnology firm where it has been applied worldwide to drive improvement across a wide variety projects and initiatives.
|Dr. Carl Binder is CEO of The Performance Thinking Network where he develops performance consultants, leaders, and managers in organizations worldwide. Starting in 1970 as a student with B.F. Skinner at Harvard, he worked for ten years conducting laboratory and classroom research, designing instruction, and training teachers. He founded his first consulting firm, Precision Teaching and Management Systems, Inc. in 1982, and became active in the International Society for Performance Improvement.|
